Preset Guide
Choose a preset by goal, not by guesswork
The guide below is based on the current preset inventory in the app. Presets are grouped by family and speed label so you can choose between lineart, sketch, scan, logo, optional stroke/centerline, photo-edge, diagram, Cricut/cut, sticker, UI mockup, poster, and layered color output without pretending every image converts the same way.
Speed labels
Speed depends on image size, detail, colors, transparency, browser/server workload, and whether the preset creates one trace or many layered/color regions.
Lightning Fast
Very light tracing work or local output styling.
Use for quick checks, simple files, and low-cost edits.
Extreme Speed
Simple single-trace presets with low processing cost.
Use first for clean line art, logos, scans, and fast comparisons.
High Speed
Normal tracing cost with balanced detail.
Use when the faster preset loses too much detail.
Low Speed
Detailed tracing, photo-edge work, or heavier cleanup.
Use when detail matters and you can wait a little longer.
Slow Speed
Layered, high-detail, or complex tracing.
Use for color separation or heavier cleanup on moderate images.
Very Slow
Heavy layered or color-preserving output.
Use when visual fidelity is more important than immediate results.
Insanely Slow
Very heavy per-color or high-palette tracing.
Use deliberately for demanding layered color work. It may queue and finish later.
Most outputs are filled paths
Image-to-SVG conversion normally traces visible regions into filled paths. That is useful for logos, silhouettes, scans, stickers, Cricut/cut files, and layered color regions. The new stroke/centerline family is opt-in for simple drawings that should become real SVG strokes.
Lineart, sketch, and drawing
Best for clean black-and-white artwork, ink drawings, outlines, sketches, and filled paths that should stay simple.
Photo edge and outline
Best for pulling contours from photos or low-contrast images when a stylized outline matters more than color.
Scan and black-and-white cleanup
Best for scanned art, forms, stamps, handwriting, and images with speckles or small gaps.
Logo and icon
Best for high-contrast logos, icons, badges, and marks that need clean shapes and modest detail.
Stroke / Centerline
Best for simple line drawings, handwriting, sketches, diagrams, and plotter-style output that should contain real SVG strokes.
Diagram, cutting, sticker, and style
Best for diagrams, comic-ink looks, stencil-like output, sticker edges, and practical craft styles.
Layered color
Best when you want multiple filled color regions. Newer variants cover transparent logos, app icons, posters, screenshots, mockups, and separate editable stroke outline layers for cartoon or sticker-style artwork.
