Conversion Workflow

From upload to saved SVG

The converter is designed for comparing results: upload an image, choose a preset, Convert, inspect the output card, adjust settings only when needed, then Copy SVG, Download SVG, use Fullscreen Preview, or run Batch conversion where available.

Basic workflow

  1. 1Upload an image. PNG, JPG, JPEG, WebP, and route-specific formats are supported on the relevant converter pages.
  2. 2Choose a preset. Speed tags estimate backend processing cost and do not change output by themselves.
  3. 3Click Convert. On queued routes, a pending output card appears immediately and may become running before it finishes.
  4. 4Review the output. Most raster-to-SVG results are filled paths, which is normal for logos, cut files, scans, and stickers.
  5. 5Open Settings/Edit if the completed card needs local output edits or click-to-convert setting changes.
  6. 6Click Update preview only when retrace settings should be applied to that selected output.
  7. 7Use Copy SVG or Download SVG when the visible result is ready.
  8. 8Keep comparing. Output history can preserve recent cards, including source context, while you try another preset or upload.

Major controls

Controls are card-specific where possible. Editing one output should not overwrite another output.

Upload

Adds the active source image. Recent output cards can remain visible after the active upload changes.

Presets

Apply a clean baseline plus the selected preset settings. Speed badges estimate processing cost, not quality.

Convert

Starts a conversion job from the current source image and settings. A pending output card appears immediately on queued routes.

Cancel and Retry

Visible queue cards may allow canceling a running job or retrying a failed one without touching unrelated outputs.

Settings/Edit

Opens the focused editor for a completed output. The editor shows the output, original/source preview when available, and relevant settings.

Update preview

Retraces the original source for that selected output only when click-to-convert settings changed.

Copy SVG

Copies the current finalized SVG for that output card, including supported local output edits.

Download SVG

Downloads the current finalized SVG. Use download instead of copy for very large files or apps that reject pasted SVG text.

Fullscreen Preview

Opens a larger preview for inspecting paths, details, transparency, and the current visible SVG.

Batch

Opens batch conversion settings where supported. Batch downloads use a ZIP file.

Minimize/Restore

Collapses a card without deleting its SVG, source context, queue state, or local output settings.

Practical examples

I want a clean black-and-white cut file

Upload the image, try a lineart or Cricut cut preset, check for specks, then raise cleanup or use a scan preset if the SVG is too noisy.

I want a layered color SVG

Use layered presets and expect slower speed labels. More colors and layers can improve color separation but also increase file size and processing time.

I tried a slow preset and want to keep working

Leave the slow queued card in place, start a faster preset, and compare outputs when each card finishes. Cancel only when you no longer want that job.
